Medusa micro pepper 5/25/50 fresh organic seeds for the 2025 growing season(5 Seeds)
This colorful dwarf pepper is very edible unlike most ornamentals and the creme, orange, becoming red twisty 2 fruit grow upward producing a hair of snakes look, suggestive of the gorgon Medusa, hence the namesake.I grew these in 5 gallon grow bags, the plants were about a foot wide and about that height including the upright skyward pointing fruit. the foliage is a darker jade green and the pod colors really stand out against that contrast. Beautiful container plant that most likely would still thrive in much smaller containers than what I used, Bet they could be grown in 2 gal. or even 1 gal., although, they probably would not have as many Medusa snakes for hair in smaller containers- good grief there is easily 60-80 peppers/hairs per plant in a 5 gal. Maturity is relatively early and is ongoing, 70 days after transplant till first frost.Great diced up on salads, in soups, and in stir frys (they have no heat or basically undetectable to zesty at best) Scoville rating is 5-800, and anything below 500 is very much undetectable.notes: Grew them in 2 gallon pots and several more plants in 2 quart pots to see if they would produce as much. Not surprised that they did produce as much, but even though these tiny plants are not water hogs they will require more watering attention in smaller pots (less than a gallon per plant) Great producers of Medusa's hair peppers as always.
